What if I receive a book I already have?

No problem! Email us at info@reading-panda.com with a picture of your two books side by side within 7 days the box is received, we will send you an additional replacement book the following month!  Simply gift the extra book to a friend, your neighbour or your child’s classroom to spread the joy of reading.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Oh no, we’re sorry to see you go!  Please let us know what the problem is and we will always try our best working together to solve it.

3, 6 or 12 months subscriptions are eligible for cancellation for remaining months of your subscription, but not for 1 month subscriptions.

Before a refund will be granted, you must allow us to try and help solve any problems you have by sending us an email at info@reading-panda.com. The cut-offs for cancellations will be 1st of each month to stop receiving our box the same calendar month.

The refund amount will vary based on your original subscription and the number of boxes you have already received.  We will provide refund at the purchased price for remaining boxes (limited to prices for 3, 6 and 9 months) minus 10% admin and transaction fees. For instance:

  • Subscribed for 6 months and already received 2 boxes, then we will post you the 3rd box and refund the remaining 3 months to you;
  • Subscribed for 6 months and already received 4 boxes, then we will not be able to refund remaining months to you (as remaining months of 2 is less than 3);
  • Subscribed for 12 months and already received 4 boxes, we will send you the 5th and 6th boxes, and be able to refund the remaining 6 months to you.

Can I skip a month’s shipment or put it on hold?

Skipping a shipment or putting it on hold is easy (e.g. you may be travelling out of town for holiday).  Simply drop us an email at info@reading-panda.com and we will get it sorted for you.

What if my child doesn’t like one of the books?

We welcome your feedback!  Always keep your preferences up-to-date via the link we sent to you in the welcome email (we are working hard to improve this process so watch this space).  Alternatively should you want to discuss with us in greater details your child’s case feel free to drop us an email at info@reading-panda.com

It is our mission to curate the most suitable boxes for your children, and by helping us understand your child’s tastes and preferences, we will be able to select books that your children will be excited about. We do try to maintain a good balance and introduce a wide variety of books to expand your children’s horizons (for instance, we won’t be sending you only books about cars or princesses every month should these be their favourites).

If I sign up today, when will I expect to receive my Reading Panda Box?

Our order cut-off each month on the 15th, whereby you will be able to catch our same month delivery which is shipped out on the 20th of the month.  For instance, if you subscribed on 10th, you will receive the box within the same month; if you subscribed on 17th, you will receive the box that is shipped out on 20th the next month.

Please note we always plan and ship out our boxes in advance of the month, e.g. on 20th Nov we will be posting Dec boxes – this is to ensure if any festive books can be received at the beginning of the month, so you and your child can start reading and chatting about them before they happen!

I’m getting Reading Panda Box to a loved one, can I add a special note to my box?

Absolutely! When you cart out, remember to make a note that you would like to add a special gift note to the box. Alternatively, send us an email at info@reading-panda.com telling us your order number, and we’ll do that for you.

Which countries do you ship to?

Currently we ship to nationwide Malaysia.

What is a Reading Panda Box?

Reading Panda box is a monthly subscription service that delivers personalised hand-picked Chinese and English picture books to your doorstep.

How many books are there in a Reading Panda Box?

Our Baby Panda Box (0-3 years old) comes with 3 age-appropriate books, which will likely include board books or sound books with interactive elements; whereas our Growing Panda Box (4-8 years old) consists of 3 beautiful and specially handpicked picture books from a wide variety and style, perfect for reading together with your children.

 

How are the books chosen for the boxes?

Not only we take into consideration the age of the child, but all the information that you provide about your child matters to us, so each box can be as suitable as it could be.  If your child is interested in nature or trucks or space, awesome! We are on a mission to get that book we know your child will surely love!

Our goal is to send hidden gems rather than the usual classics. Each month, both Aunty Jen and Aunty Peggy (who has qualifications in Children Educational Psychology) work hard in reviewing these books and only choose the best of the best, striving to deliver to you more than just books in a box, it’s the entire magical world of co-reading.

I have kids in both the 0-3 and 4-8 age groups, what should I do?
